Melanie has been involved in the arts from childhood.  She started singing publicly at age 10, as well as learning to play the organ.  By 12 years old, she was holding events at her home and singing in local musicals.  As a teenager, she began writing music and skits, playing piano and keyboard, and acting in school plays and readers’ theatre.  At age 17, she formed an all-girl band that performed primarily at youth events all across Northern California.

Since that time, she’s taken ballet lessons, fine arts classes, marveled at sculpture, photography and paintings, acted in independent films, recorded voice-overs, created themed Girls Night Out events that include many forms of artistry (dance, music, painting, culinary cuisine, acting and everything in between).

She’s done all of this, not to become famous, but because she loves all forms of artistry and believes everyone should have the opportunity to appreciate and/or pursue it.

Melanie currently lives in California with her husband, Darren, two children:  Megan and Derek, her mom Iris, mother-in-law, Nancy and two dogs:  Muffy and Dolce.
